Mountain hut located in the Valnontey valley, in the Lauson alpine pasture, in the heart of the Gran Paradiso National Park, and situated on the Gran Paradiso and Grivola tour! From Valnontey: Note that parking in Valnontey has been subject to a fee for a few years, the prices are very reasonable (4€ per day in 2020), however, if you want to avoid this cost, you will find free parking in Cogne, which lengthens the walk along a pleasant and shady path that goes up the left bank of the stream passing through Buthier (or you can take the free shuttle between Cogne and Valnontey). If you are staying in one of the campsites in Valnontey, the vehicle will remain at the campsite (cost included in the campsite obviously). From Valnontey, you cross the stream on the left bank via the bridge and follow path No. 18 (or Alta Via 2), wide and well-maintained through a beautiful larch forest towards the hut. You will cross the stream twice before reaching the large plateau where the hut is located, always on a comfortable path.
