Unguarded cabin located on the saddle separating the North and South peaks of Mont Colmet (3024 m), in the Mont-Blanc massif. It is managed by the municipality of La Thuile, in the Aosta Valley.

Bunker located on the saddle that separates the North and South peaks of the very scenic Mont Colmet 3024m. From Col Saint Charles, you reach Lac d'Arpy, then the admirable Lago di Pietra Rossa (worth the detour), the path marked in yellow continues to the southwest (along the lake), then crosses a moraine and the path keeps going (it tends to get lost, but you climb the easiest way through this pile of stones) southwest to reach the saddle near the cabin and the easily accessible North peak; the South peak will be more difficult. You go along the east side of the ridge, then under the peak which you bypass, then rejoin the ridge and by a few easy climbing steps you reach the peak and its twisted iron cross.
