The Rifugio Guide di Frachey is a guarded mountain hut located in the municipality of Ayas, in the Aosta Valley. It is run by Jean-André Frachey.

Access

Park just before the hamlet of Frachey, at the end of the Val d'Ayas. In the village, an old path starts behind the chapel and goes up to Résy, cutting across a 'pastoral' road often used by motorised layabouts, whose pastoralism is just an excuse to show off their 4x4s and their stupidity. In short, you will reach Résy in 1 hour.

Good to know

Half board currently costs €39. Can be used as an alternative if the Ferraro hut is full.
