From [->2329], a path goes north and reaches the upper Verra glacier on its left bank (around 3150 m), where you must bypass a serac fall on the left and then head right towards the long rocky spur separating the upper and lower Verra glaciers (known as "Lambronecca" on maps). The hut is built on a masonry base forming a platform. At a rough estimate, it takes about 1h45/2h depending on the glacier conditions. This would mean 6h30/7h from St Jacques.
Recent construction (1990). Has about ten places in the winter room. The indicated altitude is an average from various documents and websites, which report elevations ranging from 3394 m to 3425 m. The next visitors equipped with a GPS will provide more accurate information...
