From Banos de Panticosa, follow the GR11 to the western tip of the Embalse de Bachimana-Alto, then head due east to reach the Ibon de Bramatuero Bajo, which must be followed, then ascend to the Ibon de Bramatuero Alto. The unmanned refuge is located in the new construction by the dam operator (2018). Access is free.
Recent construction, a 10 m² room on the ground floor, no table or bench. Access via a fixed ladder to the upper sleeping area. Concrete floor. The structure is well insulated. A very good shelter in this little-frequented location.
