Mountain hut located in the Parc Nacional d’Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici, often referred to as the Encantats (named after the two magnificent peaks dominating the beautiful Sant Maurici Lake). From Espot: Drive to the western parking lot at the end of the road/track west of Espot (cross the entire village to reach the start of the road on the right bank of the stream). From the parking lot, follow the track up to Sant Maurici Lake, at the foot of the Encantats. Then, either continue on the track or take a detour to see the Ratera waterfall and rejoin the track a little higher up. Pass Ratera Lake, then continue to the hut (4x4 traffic may surprise you in this magnificent National Park, be careful ...). From [->4929]: Head southwest to Coll deth Lac Glacat (the lake of the same name is magnificent at 2490m), then south to Col d'Amitges (not named on maps, a col between Pic d'Amitges and Pic de Saboredo, reached by climbing left and crossing the col; from there, you can climb to Tuc de Saboredo 2833m and Pic d'Amitges 2851m, then descend to Estany Gran d'Amitges at the foot of the peaks which are more impressive from below than from the col). From Saboredo Hut: Heading south from the hut, pass the beautiful lakes of the Saboredo cirque to reach Port de Ratera 2560m (you can climb to Tuc de Ratera 2862m), cross the col, then descend. A path heading east will lead you to the hut (do not descend southeast via the path that passes below the hut).
