The Cabane des Marrindes is a guarded mountain hut located in the Vallon des Morteys, within the Vanil Noir nature reserve. It is managed by Jean Barras, Antoine Barras and Jean-Jacques Tornare.

Located in the Vallon des Morteys (Vanil Noir nature reserve). Please note that the Vanil Noir reserve is closed to dogs. Located in the Grandvillard shooting range, its use is restricted in winter. Also, the Gros Mont road is closed from November to June. From Charmey: Follow the Jaun road to Pra Jean (bus stop), then turn south (direction Les Planeys, Gros Mont). Park at the entrance to Gros Mont. Follow the path that crosses this plain and leads to the entrance of the Vallon des Morteys. Take the trail that climbs this valley and leads to the chalet via Oussanna (1513 m). From Gros Mont 2h. From Château-d'Oex: Take the direction of Rougemont, then at the height of Flendruz, head towards Ciernes Picat (1168 m). Follow the poor drivable track (under the user's responsibility regarding damage caused by livestock) that climbs the Vers Champ valley, passes La Verda (1388 m) and remains drivable until the entrance of the Vallon des Morteys where you join the previous route.
