By car: in the center of Château-d’Œx, take the Vallon des Mérils. Parking spaces protected from livestock at the place called La Dent. For experienced hikers, ladder passages. Loop of 2 hours 15 minutes of actual walking time from the La Dent alpine pasture.
The Cabane des Choucas (refreshment stand) is open daily in July and August and on weekends from Easter to October or by reservation. Meals and a dormitory with 12 beds are available only by reservation. The presence of the Swiss flag flying in front of the hut indicates that the guardian is present.
