Access

Three options are available to you: - Starting from the Col des Gentianes, on foot, with snowshoes or on ski touring. Climb the track descending from Mont Fort until the intersection with the track leading to the hut, on your left. Elevation gain 50 metres, about 30 minutes walk. - Starting from the summit of Mont Fort, descend the track (bumpy field) until the intersection with the track leading to the hut. Follow it, first on skis then on foot for the last few metres to the hut (about 5 minutes). - In the first third of the bumpy field, leave the track and traverse on your right to the couloir descending directly from Mont Fort. Continue descending while staying on the right bank until the posts of the former ski lift. Traverse along the rocks then slide down to the hut. Caution, this route is reserved for very good skiers who are not afraid of heights!
