Pedestrian access is possible via multiple routes: Engarvin (the shortest), Duranus or the Saint-Roch pass.
This is the former chapel of the abandoned medieval village of Roccasparviera. This village overlooks the Paillon and Vésubie rivers from a superb rocky outcrop. This is a chapel, therefore the utmost respect is required (as for the Thabor or the Saint-Pons chapel in Ilonse). However, it is permitted to take shelter here, and it provides valuable shelter in case of a severe and sudden storm on this exposed ridge. There are also benches and a guestbook inside. When leaving, always make sure to close the gate behind you to prevent sheep from entering the chapel. This site is a major historical site in the Nice region. Do not miss visiting the ruins and continuing to the superb summit of Roccasierra.
