Leave Aulus to the south by crossing the bridge. Walk up the road for 50 m, then take the GR de Pays to the right. Cross the road one last time. Climb 700 m of elevation gain. Upon reaching a clearing, the hut is on the right.
The hut is in quite poor condition. Dirt floor and rock. A corner hearth, an attic with a floor soiled by mouse droppings and a leaking roof. It should still be possible to spend the night there if it does not rain too much. A spring is located 20 m due south (downhill from the path). Abundant wood in the surroundings.
