From Le Castelet, follow the GRP markings (yellow / red) that pass under the new bypass of Ax. It then goes along a gently rising track. The track ends and the markings lead along a very steep trail through the forest. Leave the Bisort hut around 1275 m. The slope then eases but the markings continue along the trail. The Tessoula hut is located around 1535 m along the trail, in a meadow.
Very small, with a fireplace and mattresses, close to a spring.
