Located on the trail leading up to Mont Fourcat from Antras (little frequented). It can be reached in 1 hour from the parking lot at Les Brougues (Corquié), or in 1 hour 15 minutes from the summit of Fourcat by descending the track and turning onto the ridge heading due north at the level of Pic de la Lauzate. A 4x4 track leads up to the cabin from Antras.
Cabin in generally poor condition, located at Roc de Fumat. Roof appears watertight in corrugated metal. Walls completely porous in stone. Earthen floor is damp. No window, a door that does not close properly. Inside: a fireplace, a small cupboard, two metal bed frames that can hold mattresses. No space to eat (the bed frames take up all the room). In winter, the door (which opens inward) becomes completely buried under snow. It is located on the northwest-facing wall, in the farthest western corner. Note an orange-roofed pigeon loft nearby, which can serve as a landmark since the cabin is hidden in a hollow. The pigeon loft does not allow for staying (open to the four winds, only one chair).
