Climb up the Rébenty gorges almost to the source. In the last bends of the Col du Pradel (point 1432 m on the map), stop at a wood storage area on the left side of the road. Descend a small meadow on the right side of the road to find a poor forest path that goes down to the stream, crosses it, then climbs for about ten meters towards the refuge. Do not be afraid to get your feet wet in the tall grass and when crossing the stream by wading.
Forest refuge. A large fireplace, 2 tables, 3 benches, 7 chairs. No dedicated sleeping spots, but it is possible to sleep 4 or 5 on the dry cement floor by bringing thick sleeping mats, pushing the tables aside and sweeping (to bring). The refuge was very clean today. Dry wood is available inside the refuge and in abundance nearby.
