From the shepherd's hut of Galghello, descend via a good forest trail (up to a cross) then steeper within a rocky chaos where cairns are scarce. From the top of the village of Corscia, a track leads to a commemorative stele, from which a good pedestrian trail heads NNW down to the valley of the Ruda river (crossable by a bridge). From there, a path climbs through the forest towards the East. It becomes increasingly marked within scree slopes as it ascends northwards; follow sparse cairns indicating the general direction. At a flat area (IGN point alt. 1139), the trail becomes clear again until reaching the ruined shepherd's huts (livestock enclosure, ruins of cheese caves, and an unclosed shepherd's cabin).
No reliable water source nearby (the original spring of the shepherd's hut is largely destroyed). The tin roof of the only remaining shelter has a few leaks.
