Access

Access from Bellecombe en Bauges via the col de Bornette, then [->4337], then [->71], then via the col des Platières, taking between 2h30 and 3h00. Via Mongelaz / Saury: approximately 2h to 2h30, or up to 3h depending on weather conditions (signposts indicate 4h). From [->71]: about 30 minutes. From [->261]: about 20 minutes. Via Combe d'Ire: approximately 2 to 3h depending on snow conditions. The access road is not cleared of snow in winter.

Good to know

Former alpine chalet restored in 2002 by the municipality of Doussard, regularly maintained by a local association ("Tous au Charbon" - TAC). They notably brought the stove in by helicopter.
