From Thônes, shaded but sometimes steep path. About 2 hours. Access also via Lindion or from the side of Col des Nantets (with a shortcut via Col de l'Eau on a partially marked trail that avoids the climb to Talamarche).
An old alpine farm built in 1764 and converted into a refuge in the early 1980s. Quiet and not too busy place. There is no proper winter refuge, but the chicken coop (no joke) remains voluntarily open to serve as shelter outside the guard period, if needed (the chicken coop is fully cleaned at the end of each season for the wintering of the refuge). Located in the middle of a flowery alpine pasture, with a magnificent view of the Tournette. Meals, drinks and accommodation available. Open from mid-May to mid-October. Fountain just in front of the hut. The refuge accepts pets; there is a "dog bar" reserved for them.
