From Valbonnais, reached via La Mure. Go to the Péchal hamlet and park at its exit. At the point (842 m) to the left, a yellow-marked trail on the Tour du Valbonnais Beaumont variant first follows the Grande Dreyre stream on the right bank. Cross it and move away by an uphill climb in switchbacks through the forest (fir and deciduous trees). You reach the directional signpost (Ruisseau de la Dreyre 1540 m). Opposite, after crossing two small streams, you find the Dreyre hut at the edge of the woods (approximately 1570 m).
Very basic hut made of roughcast stone blocks, very dirty, with a tin roof and one panel insulated with polystyrene. 2 m by 3 m, door and window close properly. Inside: in poor condition, 2 trestles with a large plank that can serve as a table, a few stone blocks and small planks to use as benches. Two sleeping platforms with a thin layer of polystyrene on top. A stove in scattered pieces. Outside: water is available downstream in the stream. However, there is a very nice view of the Obiou. It is possible to climb to the Coiro, route to be checked in the Coiro hut's information.
