It is generally reached from Chamrousse, via the GR trail through Le Recoin in a maximum of 1H30, or from the Roche Béranger side, passing by Lac Achard and Col des Lessines, which is prettier and longer. Alternatively, via the Combe de l'Oursière, which is significantly steeper. This hut is 1H30 from the La Pra refuge via the GR trail. Access by public transport: Bus stops in Chamrousse. Open year-round, as far as can be told. The building is small but well insulated, and it does not get too cold in winter. There are 4 mattresses, but up to 6 people can sleep on them without issues, and up to 8 if using the benches. No stove or nearby water source, only a broom.
