From Moliessoulaz, along forest roads (private or municipal: see info on "Merdaret"). In winter, there is no snow removal once the inhabited area is left. The cabin is not visible from the main path: a nearly horizontal forest trail branches off to the left and leads in 200 m. to the shelter built in a small clearing.
This shelter is unlucky... the painted traces of idiots prove it. Built in log construction, but the logs let in drafts and more. Single room with a dirt floor. There is still a broom! Table, benches, a stove whose condition makes it clear it won’t heat much. Partitioned sleeping area + an old 140 cm bed base. Can serve as an emergency solution in bad weather, late departure (or return). Wood available everywhere. A stream flows less than 100 m to the east.
