From the Merdaret hut, via the balcony trail along the northern slopes of the Mirantin - Roche Pourrie ridge. For traffic restrictions, see Merdaret Hut. From Merdaret, a small trail follows the left bank of a stream southwestward. Do not expect any markings in this area: they have disappeared over time or never existed.
Beautiful masonry restoration carried out in 2006 by the ACCA and the Queige municipality. The building is rather longitudinal, with a distinctly long upper level (which limits sleeping space). A large 140 mattress. Table, benches, an excellent working stove. Shutters installed; interior joinery to follow. Various tools and small accessories. A souvenir book with a photo report of the restoration and a guestbook. A fountain flows 3 m from the hut. Firewood available in the forest. Toilets have been set up downslope to the north, after 20 m of a small trail. Close the door carefully.
