Access

By a path ascending in switchbacks through meadows and forest, apparently not much frequented, from Trébutine, in the valley of the Grande Maison (torrent de Glaize). About 1h30, depending on whether there is snow or not. Note that a decree prohibits traffic on the road from the TDF relay, known as "le Detchu", adding 3 km on foot before reaching the snow.

Good to know

Large building in front of which stands a padlocked container. A side door (west side) protected by metal sheets bears the inscription "Bienvenue"... Did you say Bizard...? New and locked joinery. Apparently reserved for shepherds, although the IGN 1:25000 "Beaufortain" map shows it as an open shelter. On this day, 24/01/2024, the cabin part is closed by a door inside the wood storage shed.
