The Chalet de Retord is an unguarded cabin located in the commune of La Léchère, in Savoie. The building is publicly owned.

Access

Starting from the parking area near the hamlet of La Grande Maison, take the trail leading to Lac du Plan du Jeu. At around 1940 m altitude, a trail, barely marked in June 2012, branches off to the left and leads to the Chalet de Retord. A recent pastoral road (4x4 trail), indicated by a black dotted line on the IGN or Géoportail map, leads there from a fork above the Chalet de Bizard.

Good to know

A barely legible sign is attached to one of the building's walls, stating that the refuge is made available to hikers and hunters. Occupied by shepherds during the summer grazing period.
