Located on the GR55 and the Tour des Glaciers de la Vanoise. From Pralognan-la-Vanoise, take the trail through the ski slopes and ski lifts via the wood of La Glière, either directly from the village or from the Fontanettes car park (payable since 2025 in summer, free shuttle from the village). Using the ski lifts, the hut is directly accessible via the Génépi chairlift from the Fontanettes car park. Another possible route is to take the Mont Bochor cable car and then follow a balcony trail. Count 1 hour from the Fontanettes car park. In winter, the ski lifts (Edelweiss chairlift + Génépi chairlift) provide direct access to the hut from the village. Lac des Vaches is 1 hour from the hut, the [->147] is 2 hours away.
Open and staffed from mid-June to mid-September. 2025 dates: from 7 June to 14 September No winter room. Booking required during the ski season. Dormitories with 8 bunk beds for a total of 25 places. Bivouac possible on flat grassy areas below the hut. Breakfast from 7:00 to 7:30, departure before 8:30, dinner at 19:00 Toilet use for passing hikers is allowed without consumption for a small fee of €0.50. 2025 rates: Half-board in summer: €58/person (€40/under 10 years) Half-board in winter: €68/person (€50/under 10 years) Bivouac: €6/tent Add tourist tax of €0.80/person/night Payment in cash, credit card, ANCV vouchers Languages spoken: French, English, German, Italian, Spanish.
