From Grand Naves the hut is on the route of the Beaufortain tour variant. 750 m of elevation gain, approximately 2 hours of walking. A non-tarmacked drivable track leads to the hut. Traffic is prohibited except for authorized persons.
New regime (comment dated 10 December): The new Nant du Beurre hut will be guarded from mid-December 2012. Located 50 m from the old hut, it will be open in winter from mid-December to the end of March and in summer from mid-June to mid-September, as well as by reservation outside these dates. The hut has 32 beds in dormitories of 4 and 6 places and 2 double rooms. Meals are available at any time during the day. Full board, half board and bed only options are offered, with a day room. Outside the guarded period: During the unguarded period, access to the new hut is not possible, but the old one is available by reservation. You must collect the keys from the guardian in the valley.
