Access

- Be aware that the access from the west (starting from the Bivouac de la Tête des Roèses) crosses a crevassed glacier, http://inquota.altervista.org/FotoAlp/ratti04.jpg then climbs an icy couloir (200 m.) under the same conditions up to the Col des Cors, north of which the hut is located. The entire route, although technically modest, is highly exposed to stonefall from the ridges. Moreover, the former "icy" couloir may have become a rock funnel due to its orientation. Roughly AD+. - As for the access from the east, it is best not to consider it: poor rock quality (passages up to V), ice slopes ranging from 50 to 70° and...rockfall. It can be rated D+, with a "dangerous" note. Strangely, this is the access route indicated in the links, so the worst option! A photo taken from the Col des Cors: there remains a stretch of ridge (almost rotten) to reach the hut right in the center, slightly offset upwards
