From the northern end of the Breuil locality (wrongly renamed Cervinia by the alpine marketing snobs), at 2000 m, a service road formerly reduced to a stony track and which crosses the old mule path climbs in switchbacks for 6 km to the hut. You can't go wrong, unless you're clearly drunk... Let's say 2h30. Alternatives are possible.
