Access on foot from Meranges: Path No. 117, follow the track that goes up behind the church of Meranges (Duration: 2 hours, 600m D+). Road access from Meranges: Obviously when this track is open, depending on snow conditions, follow the road that first continues to the village of Girul, then after a hairpin bend, the good road and then a well-graded track climbs easily to the hut. The terminal parking near the hut is payable (see photo).

Near the lake next to the hut, there is the Pla de Tartares, a designated area for pitching a tent, payable service (ask the hut keeper). Winter refuge: 2 places, mattresses, wood stove.
