From the parking lot of Lac d'Appy: take the path that ascends to the northeast towards Lac d'Appy. At the fork around 1450 m, continue straight ahead to the northeast instead of turning left for the lake. From the Trimouns mine track: while driving up the road, take the left turn towards 1300 m onto the "Sarrat de Bosquet" track and follow it to the end, where the hut's roof can be seen to the northeast.
The hut has two sections: one for the shepherd and one for hikers (on the left when facing the doors).
