Several possible access routes from: the Molliets footbridge passing near the Grotte de la Diau, the chalet d'Ablon heading towards the Croix du Bénitier and the Col du Pertuis, the chalet du Parmelan (Camille Dunant), and the Blonnière. The shelter is visible from the Chalet du Pertuis. However, you may pass by without noticing it if you arrive via the path from [->1704].
Emergency shelter only (cellar). It is actually an outbuilding of the Chalet de Pertuis, located about 200 m away. It is a small, semi-buried shelter under a small earth mound, not far from the forest, with all the advantages and disadvantages that come with it: relatively decent insulation (despite the advanced state of decay of the 100 % rotten door), humidity, no windows so little light. Earthen floor. No amenities or comfort of any kind. Only to be used as a last resort. Prefer the [->3414], which offers more acceptable comfort 40 minutes away towards the Fontaine du Geai. Note: there is no other shelter available at the Chalet du Pertuis. Do not confuse this shelter with the [->2987], located 5 minutes away.
