Several possible access routes from: the passerelle des Molliets passing near the Grotte de la Diau, the chalet d'Ablon taking the direction of the Croix du Bénitier and the Col du Pertuis, the chalet du Parmelan (Camille Dunant), the Blonnière. Located just below the Col du Pertuis when descending towards the chalet d'Ablon. The shelter is visible from the col, at the edge of the forest.
The shelter is extremely basic and small with no comfort and no door. Wooden structure with metal sheets for the "walls" and roof. No insulation. Dirt floor with stones embedded in it (some immovable), so comfort for lying down is not guaranteed. Space for at most 2 people. This shelter should be considered as a last resort in case of necessity or bad weather conditions (similar to the emergency shelter at Chalet du Pertuis). You will find more comfort by going to [->3414], 35 minutes away. For water: although there is no water at the shelter, you only need to walk less than 10 minutes to find some by heading towards the Grotte de la Diau / passerelle des Molliets. A landscaped spring (with 4 basins, impossible to miss) is located at 1550m (same altitude as the shelter) at the junction between the path leading up to the Parmelan and the path heading towards the passerelle des Molliets.
