This shelter is located along the hiking trail of the Vallon du Pertuis, just above the Fontaine du Geai (junction between the path to the Col du Pertuis and the one leading to the Plateau du Parmelan).
A brand-new small cabin, which did not exist in 2017, built in place of the few remaining ruins of an old cabin destroyed a long time ago. A charming small shelter with an atypical shape for the region, simple, functional, and rustic in the noblest sense of these three terms, created from scratch and built by François. It is possible to stand inside, although space is limited. In one and a half steps, you will have seen the entire interior of this lovely micro-cabin. The roof is made of sheet metal on a raised wooden structure shaped like a fir tree tip. Inside, there are only two handmade small stools and a nice flat wooden floor made of well-joined planks, which can serve as a very healthy base for sleeping for a maximum of two people. A few small storage pieces, nicely integrated and decorated, enhance the interior. Outside, there is a wooden table with two benches. Behind the cabin, you will also find a rope bed for those who wish to sleep more or less under the stars. A perfect-sized broom made of broomcorn is available for cleaning the small floor area (cleaning is very quick!). Please do not make a fire near the cabin.
