Small square cabin built in August 2003, made of concrete blocks and wooden framework, with a concrete floor. A single room with a table, 2 benches, a stove (quite efficient even though lighting it can be difficult in strong winds, common on this hill), wood available in the form of small planks to be cut to the right size and used sparingly. Very poor insulation due to the construction materials used, despite the fact that the 3 windows, all fitted with shutters, and the entrance door close properly ("modern" construction). No sleeping equipment provided (the sign outside reads "shelter for hikers"). However, there is enough floor space to sleep about 4 people (but not much more... where you will have to squeeze). You must bring all your sleeping gear if you wish to sleep there and therefore bring good ground insulation as well as a good sleeping bag in cold seasons. Dry toilet installed around 2022 just behind the shelter. 1 broom with a broken handle, a shovel, a small hatchet whose dimensions are suitable for chopping but not much else (ideally sized for the small planks available), a worn-out small sickle. An old inflatable mattress, presence of a "blanket" originating from... the SNCF... couchettes train... hum... Guestbook and pen deposited on January 1st, 2018. The cabin is located near an active summer sheepfold. Water refill fountain in front of the sheepfold (does not always flow, particularly in winter and early spring).
