From the Chalet de la Servaz, follow the direction of Col d'Orgeval. "The shelter" is located about fifteen minutes from [->2917] in a small clearing, shortly after a small fork between a 4X4 track and the very small path that descends towards the bottom of the valley. You must stay on the track that goes up, making a hairpin turn to the right (if you continue, you return to the Servaz). The cabin can be seen in the tree from both paths; you just need to look up.
Note that this is not really a cabin but rather an observation shelter made of wood, perched in a beautiful tree and overlooking part of the Saint Ruph valley. The construction is simple and blends well into the landscape. There is a small wooden ladder to climb up. Up there, there is a nice panorama that you can enjoy sitting on two small benches. The shelter is not intended for sleeping, although it might be possible, but space is very limited. It can also be used to take shelter from rain, provided it falls straight down! See the photos for a description, as they are more informative than a long speech.
