From the [->1047], which can be reached from Saint-Gervais-les-Bains by the Mont-Blanc tramway, follow the trail leading to the [->328]. Near the hut, climb the ridge and head towards the [->10584] and cross it (WARNING: deadly danger from permanent rockfalls!!). Climb the Aiguille du Goûter (cables) to reach the [->10585], climb to the summit of the needle and follow it for 100m to reach the hut. 5 hours of access.
Open and guarded from late May to early October. In 2025: from May 25 to October 6. Outside this period, the [->10586] is used. The [->10585] used only in emergencies (fire) will be dismantled in early July 2026 to be rebuilt in the thermal park of Saint-Gervais-les-Bains. Blankets provided, silk sheet mandatory (if needed, sold for €10), indoor toilets, no running water, no shower, no sink, no heating, no Wi-Fi, no power outlets, pets not allowed. Meals available, no cooking area. Languages spoken: French, English, German, Italian, Spanish.
