From Stafal (end of the road) there is a 1800m elevation gain ahead, partly on a crevassed glacier and partly on rock, varied and fairly good. This is a high-mountain route ascending the "Nose" of the Lyskamm via its south-southwest ridge. The overall rating is D. The route is exposed to rock and ice falls.
This shelter was built following the disappearance of Mamo Comotti, a top skier, bon vivant and opponent of excessive mountain facilities, who was swept away by an avalanche in 2012, on the initiative of his friends. Erected in 2015. This shelter was not known in operation (the bivouac). Equipment: good insulation, crockery, gas stove, table, benches, photovoltaic lighting, only meltwater, no heating.
