"Alpi Pennine" (I and II), published by CAI/TCI, or "Alpes Valaisannes" vol I (in French), by Maurice Brandt (published by CAS). See access routes at [->1565]. There are alternatives, particularly starting from the hamlets of Crètes or Chez Chenoux, but parking a car there is almost impossible. Therefore, leave your vehicle in Dzovenno or Bionaz and join the route via Ruz or Crètes. Yellow markings: all trails (which cross a restricted alpine road reserved for herders, foresters, etc.) converge towards the chalets of Berrié (renovated and brand new) where you will be greeted by cows... There, you must not forget to turn full West. The hut is not far away. The journey will take between 2h30 and 3h, depending on the chosen option.
This construction fills a gap in the area, which the Spataro bivouac alone could not compensate for. Dormitories and rooms (2, 4, 6 beds). Excellent viewpoint over the northern flank of the Becca de Luseney massif. Open from June to September. Winter room available for 8 people. Prior confirmation by phone or email is required. All services are available (hot showers, public telephone). The hut's website, created by the warden, provides useful information (access map, prices - note that the website does not mention prices for overnight stays/half-board for CAI members and associated clubs: odd...) Languages spoken: French, English, German, Italian, Spanish.
