This hut, whose oldest part dates back to 1948 and the newest to 2019, offers 35 winter beds. In addition to climbs in the Aiguilles Rouges area, access is possible to several easy viewpoints in the sector (Pte de Vouasson, Mont de l'Etoile), particularly due to the general retreat of glaciers. However, the scree will then make early season preferable. A climbing school with routes from 3a to 6b is nearby.
