The Cabane du Grand Mountet is a guarded mountain hut located in the Valais region, managed by Nicolas Theytaz. It is publicly owned and situated in the municipality of Anniviers.

Coordinates 616.630/100.960 Starting from Zinal, go up to point 1674 m. (parking). A convenient path leads to the Vichiesso chalet (1862 m.). About 100 m west of it, three trails: to the right, the one to La lè, 100 m further to the left, the one to l'Ar-Pitetta...between them, the Mountet trail which then follows the moraine on the left bank, passing by the Petit Mountet (2142 m.), going around a promontory, crossing the stream from the Pigne de la Lè, ascending in switchbacks to the Plan des Lettres. Then descend nearly 100 m of elevation to reach the glacier (crevasses!) above the serac fall, then cross it diagonally towards the slopes leading to the hut.
