Starting from the village of Randa (~1400m), follow a steep path through the forest to reach grassy slopes (2 hours, water source), then the base of rocky bars overlooking the Europahütte. A steep path (cables, ladders) allows you to cross the rocky bar to reach a scree slope about 100m below the hut. The hut is reached in about fifteen minutes. Total time: 4h30.
As its name suggests, the main objective is the Dom, a famous peak also among ski mountaineers (9 winter beds), as well as the routes on the western part of the Nadelgrat. A brief page is also available at http://www.vs-wallis.ch/wallis/huetten/dom.html
