This cabin is recent and was likely built to address the chronic overcrowding of its older counterparts located lower down. However, one should not be misled by the "alpine" nature of this place, a concrete and glass parallelepiped initially registered as a "Bergrestaurant", perched at the arrival of ski lifts... this is neither the Trift nor the Gandegg, you know?! The hut is under the Swisscom portable coverage.
