From Simplon Dorf, via Weng and Färicha. Approximately 4h30 of walking. Formerly the only support point in this Lagginhorn - Fletschhorn area. A series illustrating the access route is available on this site. Access to the bivouac varies but is limited. There are two official summer routes and two winter routes, which differ between seasons. Summer: I. Simplon Dorf - Obri Weng - Antonius : 3h30 ; T3 II. Gabi - Wäxel - Biel - Homatta : 3h30 ; T3 III. Gabi - Simplon Dorf - Laggintal - Bidemji : 4h ; T3 Winter (after avalanche danger assessment and not before April): Simplon Dorf - Liegje - Blaue Seewj - Sattel - P.2546 : 5h ; AD
Traditional but very comfortable equipment: sleeping bench + mattress and blankets, table with stools, wood stove for cooking. Streams nearby (provision to be made on the way up). Candles usually available for lighting. A radio telephone is present to alert rescue services, although the hut is within range of the Swisscom mobile network.
