Access

Before coming, check access conditions, whether by car or on foot, from the valley or upstream mountaineering routes: recurring flash floods of streams can cause road closures, parking lot flooding, disappearance of footbridges, etc. From Pelvoux, take the road to Ailefroide up to the Pré de Madame Carle. Duration: 3 hours from the Pelvoux tunnel.

Coordinates approximately corrected (Artos) - No water nearby except for streams. - Mattresses. - Blankets. - It is cold in winter. - No lighting, bring candles. The Cézanne refuge is closed from mid-March to All Saints' Day holidays when the Pré de Madame Carle refuge chalet is open and staffed.
