The Chalet de Chizeraz is an unguarded cabin located in the commune of Cevins, in Savoie. It is managed by a shepherd and belongs to the public domain.

Several possible access routes: - From the west and the village of Bénétant. Allow approximately 2h30 by following the Bénétant stream along the Dard waterfalls. You will pass by the [->10138], a tricky section, especially in wet conditions. - From the east and the Col de la Louze (2119 m), via a trail heading WSW, then W, along the Lacs de la Tempête. The cabin is 500 m WNW of Lac Vert. - From the Col de Torche, coming from the [->2351].
Note that according to road signs and other sources, the names "Chizeruz", "Chizerut" and "Chizerat" are also found, and the door indicates "Chalet pastoral de Cevins". Choose your route accordingly! Since 2005 and until further notice, the cabin is reserved for the shepherd during the summer grazing season, roughly from 15 June to 15 September. Outside this period, hikers may sleep there. Nearby forest, towards Bénétant, has a few green alders that can provide some firewood, but you will need to walk a bit to gather it. See the file for [->10139] nearby, which does not always have running water. If not, the stream 100 m away will provide water (take precautions).
