From Spain, Cerbi (track to the right just before Cerbi, parking), it is possible to drive higher up on a stony track, take the direction of Estany de la Gola (there is no other choice anyway). Track then easy path leading to the hut just before the large and magnificent Estany de la Gola. It is also possible to go up from Alos d’Isil, coll de la Cornella, coll Curios, Estany de la Gola, and south of this beautiful lake the hut. From France, you must cross the Mont Rouch ridge to get there, passing by the [->5398] and the stunning sequence of all the Gallina lakes, coll de Calberante, coll Curios, lake and hut.
Hut always open. Good insulation (solid building). Sleeping is done on a very nice wooden floor on the upper level (under the roof slope), bring a mattress and sleeping bag, there is also space downstairs if really necessary (less comfortable and mice ...). Equipment: 1 large table, 4 benches, 1 fireplace (no wood nearby), no other equipment, 1 rubbish bin behind the hut (which tends to overflow). Beware of mice (protect food or else ...). Water: the lake overflow. A few minutes (~5 min) before the hut (to the south), there is a spring along the path.
