From Zermatt, cross the bridge after the church and turn right towards Winkelmatten. Cross the Gornergrat railway line, then climb in switchbacks to Zum Stein (1885 m), then to Findeln (2069 m) by following the right bank of the Findelnbach. Continue via Egge while ascending grassy ridges, cross the stream from the Stellisee and keep climbing moraine slopes until Fluh. Approximately 3h/3h30.
A bit "old style" and also within easy reach of the chairlift, but it's an alternative for the western side of the Strahlhorn area, etc.... In winter, only restaurant service is available, no accommodation.
